Bari Brahmana is a significant town located in the region of Jammu & Kashmir, India. It holds a strategic position, situated along the National Highway, approximately 16 kilometers from Jammu city and 85 kilometers from Lakhanpur town. Bari Brahmana has evolved from a Notified Area Committee, designated as such under SRO 735 dated 29th November 1978, to a Municipal Committee in the year 2002. The town is renowned for its industrial significance, which has led to continuous activity and a high population density. Due to its location on the National Highway, people from neighboring areas have migrated to Bari Brahmana for employment opportunities, resulting in a substantial permanent settlement. The town consists of 13 wards and had a population of 15,453 according to the 2011 Census. The floating population in the town is estimated to be around 50,000, and it covers an area of 2.50 square kilometers, with 2,339 households.
