Vijaypur is a town in Samba district and the area notified vide SRO 81 confirmed by section 283 of J&K Municipal Act 2008 on dated 26th of Feb. 1974 known as Notified Area Committee Vijaypur and situated at the National Highway (NH-44) in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The town of Vijaypur is connected to major cities like- Jammu, Srinagar, New Delhi, etc. via Srinagar-Kanyakumari Highway (NH-44). Vijaypur has a railway station through which it is connected to other cities with rail connectivity.
