GhoManhasan is a town located at 32.56°N 74.95°E, with an average elevation of 311 meters (1,020 feet). Situated to the southwestern side of Jammu, this town is easily accessible by road, being just 15 kilometers away from Jammu city.The town's name, GhoManhasan, is believed to derive from a community known as "Manhasa's".The Municipal Committee of GhoManhasan came into existence in the year 1986. Since its establishment, the town has faced challenges related to waterlogging and improper waste and stormwater disposal, leading to the growth of slum areas.
